Customer Responsibilities

We understand that accidents can happen, but if any damage occurs to the hired garment during your rental period, you must notify Vogue Style Hire immediately with clear photos of the damage.

To avoid any additional fees, please refrain from attempting to fit or zip up a dress that doesn't suit your size or shape.

We kindly ask that you consider the condition in which you would like to receive the dress. Please be mindful of potential stains, such as those from perfume, spray tan, food, and drinks, as these can lead to extra charges.

The garment is intended for your personal use only and must remain in your possession and control for the entire hire period—no matter how much your best friend may beg to borrow it!

We embrace all body types, sizes, and personal styles, but please note that our garments must not be altered, modified, or tampered with in any way. They are happiest just as they are!

If you choose to use fake tan products, they must be applied at least 2 days prior to wearing the garment and thoroughly washed off to avoid any stains on our beautiful pieces.

We ask that you Rent, Wear, and Return the garment in the pre-paid returns satchel provided inside the original satchel before 4:00 pm on the last day of the hire period. Please ensure you provide proof of return by including either a photo of the tracking number or the return receipt. If you’ve opted for pickup/drop-off, the garment must be returned at the agreed-upon time to avoid any late charges.

Once a hire fee has been paid it is non-refundable as that garment is marked for you! Customers are given a 24 hour cancellation period beginning from the time of purchase where an exchange or credit can be offered. Any credits, will be applied within 5 business days.

Damages and Non Returned/ Dress Issues 

Vogue Style Hire reserves the right to charge the customer the recommended retail price (RRP) to replace a damaged or stolen garment. You must provide us with your tracking number when returning your dress.  Your card stored at time of purchase will be charged within 14 days if the order is unreturned or damaged.

If unpaid, after 14 days the card used at checkout WILL be charged. If there are insufficient funds on the card used to pay for the original order and is unable to be charged, this fee will turn into a debt and will be passed onto our debt collectors. The customer is liable for recovery fees as well as the Vogue Style Hire fee.  

Now maybe you’re one of the lucky ones and the garment can be repaired for an amount less than the RRP, Vogue Style Hire reserves the right to charge the customer this value. Here’s hoping the garment isn’t booked for a back-to-back hire, if another hire cannot be fulfilled due to the delay in repair of the garment, the customer is liable to pay an additional hire fee.

All dress hires include dry cleaning fees. If the dress is returned with stains that require more than one dry clean, you will be charged a fee of $32 for every dry clean required after the first. If your dress hire is returned damaged and  requires a seamstress, you will be charged a minimum of $36. If your dress hire is returned beyond repair, you will be charged 80% of RRP to replace the dress. If you fail to return the dress hire you will be charged 100% of the RRP to replace the dress. 

 

Refunds/Exchanges

Cancellations

Whilst we don't offer refunds for change of mind we understand that an event date may get changed. We will try our best to help you change the date of the hire to your new preferred date however this may not always be possible due to other bookings. There will be a $30 processing fee to change the date of hire if you notify us less than 21 days before your hire period starts.

If you decide to your cancel your order more than 21 days prior to your hire period start date you will receive a credit note to value of your full hire price. If you decide to cancel your order between 20-8 days prior to your hire period start date you will receive a credit note less a $25 restock fee. If you decide to cancel your order 7 days prior to your hire period start date you will not receive any credit note. All credit notes will have a 3 month expiry date from issue.  

Faults

If you open your delivered parcel to find that you have been sent the incorrect item, please let us know immediately. We will do our best to deliver the correct item or a replacement garment in time. We will refund you once the incorrect item is placed back in the post if you choose to not receive a replacement dress. 

If you find that the item is correct, but has other issues that stop you from wearing the dress (e.g. damage, faults or noticeable stains), please let us know within 4-8 hours of receiving the item, and definitely prior to wearing the item. If you don't let us know within this timeframe, we reserve the right to refuse a refund as it will not be clear when the damage was caused or by who. You should do this even if you are happy to still wear the item as is, so you are not blamed for the damage or charged damage fees. Remember these dresses you hire have been worn before and may have minor wear and tear, these minor wear and tear will not be refunded.

If you wish to still wear the dress at the time of letting us know, no refund or credit will be issued. If you wish to not wear the dress at the time of letting us know you will receive a full refund for your dress hire including delivery fees. You must place the dress into a yellow box with a time stamp photo or to the post office with tracking receipt the same day as receiving the dress or before 9:30 am the next day if it is already past 4pm to receive this refund. Failure to do so can incur restocking fees and no refund.

You acknowledge that the items being sent to you are not brand new and may have some signs of wear & tear. A refund may not be granted if the issue is considered minor or insignificant.

In most cases, you will need to wait for the item to be returned and assessed, prior to a refund being approved and processed. If approved, you will receive a full refund including any amount paid for postage.
